Comet and I took an early morning walk along the river trail at Valley of the Rogue State Park before the temperature started to climb. With a 105 forecast I knew that 7 am was the best time to head out. I took my camera as last time I walked there I missed several good birds when I left my camera in the truck. These are a few of the birds we saw as we walked the river path.
Birds seen: Western Bluebird, House Sparrow, Brewers Blackbird, American Crow, Turkey Vulture, Western Kingbird (pair), Yellow-breasted Chat (several chatting up and down the river), Black Phoebe, House Finch, Scrub Jay, Canada Goose, Green Heron, Lazuli Bunting, Spotted Towhee, Robin, House Finch, Cedar Waxwing, Mallard Duck, and a little bunny rabbit which Comet the Greyhound took a long look at it trying to remember why it looked familiar but the racing days are over so he passed on the chase.
